I went off with my hands in my torn coat pockets; my overcoat too was becoming ideal; I travelled beneath the sky, Muse! and I was your vassal; oh dear me! what marvellous loves I dreamed of!
My only pair of breeches had a big hole in them. — Stragazing Tom Thumb, I sowed my rhymes along the way. My tavern was at the Sign of the Great Bear. — My stars in the sky rustled softly.
And I listened to them, sitting on the road-sides on those pleasant September evenings while I felt drops of dew on my forehead like vigorous wine;
and while, rhyming among the fantastical shadows, I plucked the strings of a lyre the elastics of my tattered boots, one foot close to my heart!

 mona drawing tamsin´s face
Mona (NATALIE PRESS) has just got hold of a brilliant moped that only cost a tenner. No engine but still dirt-cheap. She lives with her brother, Phil, (PADDY CONSIDINE) who used to run a pub before he found God and poured away all the booze. Tamsin (EMILY BLUNT) is rich, spoilt and trying to live a life of seductive decadence.
They meet on the moors, above their quiet Yorkshire village and begin an intense, unlikely friendship. Tamsin is tragic and fantastical, Mona, rough and witty. Tamsin is charmed and Mona is hooked.
Tamsin and Mona want to escape their lives but Phil wants to save them and save everybody else. Mona wants the old, dangerous, Phil back; the brother that she loved. Tamsin wants to see what it takes to break him. (...)

the gash in the bible!? one does not have to be an art researcher to know Jheronymus van Aeken´s resp. Jheronymus Bosch´s popular and numerously paraphrased triptych with the melodious name "the garden of delights"; Prof Dr. Arthur Rosenauer had lately mentioned a certain art historian´s point of view in the course of his lecture concerning the inorthodoxical theme in the middle of the three-piece "altar" (as long as you can call it one), this standpoint of an individual called Belting (I think this guy´s german) seriously claims that the depicted theme originates from a gash in the bible, resp. it illustrates the situation that would have been present incase that the fall of mankind through eve wouldn´t have occured. this thought obviously seperates him form most art historians common opinion which,of course, explains the legitimation of the theme presented in this remarkably grandious dominance in both, position and dimension through the root-medival tendency of ( · ) ...for detto information on mentioned lector,, klick the link below.

this is a frangment out of a great book my ount gave me -it´s one of the very few books i read in english tongue (too bad i´m so fucking lazy) ...however,-it´s kind of a mixture of a socioanthropological and ethnoglogical book and i found it very very great even though the autor (who´s female by the way [...which gives some objectivity to this thing hehe]) dedicates at least half of the book or more to the western world and occupies with "our" gender-cultural theme in a more or less chronological manner.
so here is the fragmet about mesopotamian ishtar-cult under dening´s chapter »sex in ancient civilisations« ..- enyoy!..

futurism and the fascist futuristic movement...
as i´m a big admirer of fururist sculpture, i´m in an even more confused mood now! ..the celebration of war and (in later consequence) italian fascism in marinetti´s manifestos isn´t directly a secret. -i´d even claim it has never been one.
well, i read through it and hit on point nine, which contains the following perversity (among a hand ful of trivial thin-lipped philosophies preaching things like "we will fight every opportunistic or utilitarian cowardice"):
[...] 9. »We will glorify war—the world’s only hygiene—militarism, patriotism, the destructive gesture of freedom-bringers, beautiful ideas worth dying for, and scorn for woman.«
-maestos!...- an artistic movement (of such wonderful forefathers like french analytiacal cubists) was unscrupulous enough to bring such_a_blemish above their hotly coveted ""fatherland"" ...shame on them. ;) ((i´d though recommend everyone interested to read through the manifestos and get amazed about what crap this guy writes in a wonderful spicy word choice)):

..well, - and for all of you, who are impassioned, greedy consumers of art, I dare to bring something exciting to discussion: you may heard of the speculations running between experts and reserchers (which by the way still enjoys highest actuality) 'round the probably most legendery of giorionesque works, his allegoric 'sleeping Venus' of circa 1505-10; -meanwhile, it´s almost publicly "known", that Tiziano was the individual, who finished this one after giorgione´s hour had come (which is douptless in my opinion; it´s proved that they had contacts). recently, there are tizian-researchers appearing on the screen, [for ex. johannides *], who seemingly intend to complete text ( colorit version )

Tag des Dark Nation Day Festivals enttäuschend dünn...
Dennoch hieß es britischerweise : The show must go on! ...

Jetzt bin ich in seinem Spiel, und er streut mich verächtlich herum und verliert mich noch heut an diese Vieh, an den Tod. i´ve seen tamasaburo bando, :one of the most opalescent onnagata-performers talking about his feelings concerning the art of japanese theater and of japanese population´s lost relation to this art which allagedly utterly knows the appearance of a kabuki actor but tho would not be able to identify him as "kabuki" performer. anyway,, this guy´s success — so it´s been said— had been predicted long before it came up by numerous masters in contemporary kabuki scene. this individual really really fascinated me ,,,,for everyone who is interested in kabuki or noh or any japanese theatralics should go here (·) a lot of the plays he was involved in are published on dvd and vhs, you can get them as japanese imports (--unsless you live in tokyo or kyoto anyway)
{{for those who didn´t get in touch with this so far}}::: kabuki is a folkloral form of japanese theatre that has been existing since late 17th and finally blossomed out in the 18th century. it is the pendant to the arsitocratic Noh-thaeatre, which was a minimalistic and concervative mask-theatre. kabuki arose from the ruins of the japanese noble-period (that´s when samuraii ..you know) and was kind of a rebellion against it´s rigidness. as one of the so called "onnagata"(=idealized female role) -actresses involved herself into prostitution at the cost of kabuki, the theatre had been strictly reformed and replaced the female players by (first) adolescent males and (then) by adult males. this tradition lives on. -no women on kabuki stages.

[02 Oct 2003|10:57pm] |
a short review of his new work with the stooges and peaches (•) etc.:
:::IGGY POP::: Wild Love Iggy & The Stooges
[...] This album explores the creative process that gave birth to nearly all the Stooges albums. Starting with a jam session, an oldie or two, or maybe a blues riff, the songs gradually took shape and were refined from there. Here we find the Stooges in rehearsal, messing around with songs by Bo Diddley, Bob Dylan, Cream, and the Paul Butterfield Blues Band. We hear the beginnings of songs that never went any further, like "Old King Live Forever", "I Come From Nowhere" or "Wild Love", which had as much potential as any of their best material. And we have some very impromptu jams such as "Move Ass Baby" and a fascinating James Williamson solo performance.
Much of this material has never been heard before, in any form, as it's been buried in unmarked tapes in the Bomp vaults. In addition, we've included a few songs that have been out on unauthorized European releases, but the versions here are either completely different, or noticeably better in quality.
Track: Wild Love / Pin Point Eyes / Hey Baby / I Come From Nowhere / I'm So Glad / Ballad of Hollis Brown / Delta Blues Shuffle / Old King Live Forever / Look So Sweet / Mellow Down Easy / I'm a Man / Move Ass Baby / Til the End of the Night
